ELAINE LOUISE FISHER (nee PETRUS) After a courageous battle with cancer our mom, Elaine Louise Fisher (nee Petrus), passed away peacefully with her boys at her side. Predeceased by her husband Robert; brother Alan; sister Marlene; parents Mike and Margaret Petrus and brothers and sisters-in-law. Left to mourn her passing are her three sons Kelly (Brigitte), Lorne and Paul (Susie) and seven grandchildren, Ryan, Brittany, Alison, Ashley, Jamie-lee, Eric and Hailey, numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Mom was born on May 10, 1947 in Pine Falls, Manitoba. She was raised and attended school in Bisset, Manitoba until her parents moved to Selkirk, Manitoba to work. She later moved to Netley, Manitoba where she met and married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Fisher in 1968, moving to Clandeboye where they raised the kids. She spent 25+ years as a ding dong Avon representative providing friends and relatives with access to all of Avon's treasures. In addition she also worked at the mental hospital until her retirement eight years ago. A special thanks to palliative nurses and the staff at the Selkirk Hospital, also Aunty Betty and Donny and friends Carol and Edie for their support during Mom's final days. We will be holding a celebration of Mom's life on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home in Selkirk, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice in Elaine's name. Rest in Peace Mom Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
