Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER KRYWENKO After a short but courageous battle with cancer, Walter passed away at the Stonewall Hospital on July 27, 2010. He was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Mary and one brother, Mike. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his five children, Larry (Anna), Leonard, Stephen (Astrid), Debbie, Lesley (John), and their mother, Olga, his grandchildren, Meagan (Sean), Sasha, Eric, Marcus and Sean. He is also survived by his Uncle Peter Krywenky, his sisters Olga (George) and Katie (Tony) and sister-in-law, Donna, and their children. He will be lovingly remembered by his best friend and companion, Mary. Walter was a very ambitious and energetic person who took on many hats in his life. He worked in the mines in Ontario, did grain and cattle farming, owned and operated Ace Paving in the City of Winnipeg, ran on council in Dallas as both Chairperson/Mayor as well as councillor, jointly owned and operated the Big K Restaurant, with Mary, in Dallas and Steep Rock. He continued to work right till this winter, plowing snow on the streets of Winnipeg and mowing grass on the sides of the highways for the Province. In the past few years, Walter spent most of his time in Stonewall where he met and made many friends. He enjoyed his group of Wizard players and will be missed by them as well as his chat buddies with whom he spent many hours talking. Viewing and prayers will be on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main St., Stonewall and funeral will be held at Sunny Valley Hall in Dallas, MB on Monday, August 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John McKay officiating. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
