BEVERLY CRAVEN Beverly, beloved sister of Elaine and Bobby Paul and Sid Craven of Vancouver, passed away July 18, 2010. She was a late in life child to her parents Joe and Merle Craven and was dearly loved. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews and many cousins. Beverly was an excellent student and was placed in Major Work classes in Grade 4. She went on to acquire her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in history and then received her Law degree in 1975 from the University of Manitoba and her call to the Manitoba and Ontario bars. When Beverly graduated Law she married a classmate and they were happily married for a number of years. Although Beverly had to contend with the terrible burden of Multiple Sclerosis, she worked for the Human Rights Commission as long as she was able. Beverly was a voracious reader who enjoyed the Ballet, Theatre, the Symphony and the Arts. She and her sister Elaine travelled to Ottawa together to see the Degas exhibit at the National Gallery. Beverly had a great sense of humour which she shared with the wonderful staff of Golden West Centennial Lodge where she spent the last 14 years of her life. A special thank you to her past and present companions, Claire Fraser, Francine Martini, Teresa Friesen and Pat Tambakis. Beverly had a life of promise that was taken from her but she added immeasurably to the lives she touched. Rest in Peace
