MILDRED LOGAN (nee Watson) My Mum and our Nan, in her 100th year, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, July 26, 2010 at West Park Manor. She was predeceased by her husband Joe, parents James and Maryanne Watson; brothers Archie, Norman, John, and Wilfred; sisters Anne, Ame and Ethel. She is survived by her daughter Betty (Bob), grandsons Cameron, Blake (Simone), Brendan, Bradley, and Brian (Kim), granddaughter Tanis (Doug) and her long awaited precious great-granddaughter Tayler, nieces, nephews and, friends. She was so very proud of her four generation pictures of the girls. Our Nan was a surrogate Nan to many more kids than her own. They all started out with one of her hand knit baby sweater sets with mitts and toques following, and her famous chocolate chip cookies to teethe on. They were watched as closely as her own throughout their growing years. She also became a surrogate Nan for many years through a school program while wintering in San Diego. She was born to be a caring Nan to everyone no matter the age, and followed that path until the end. My Nan was a very special Nan to me because she loved me so much and because she made me mittens and hats and scarves, Love Taylor xo Mum, rest in peace. Being with Dad again makes everything okay. I love you both. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff on 2E for the care and compassion shown to my Mum and her family throughout her stay, especially the last couple of weeks. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy.
