DONALD (DON) KRISTALOVICH February 12, 1931 July 30, 2010 On Friday, July 30, 2010, Don passed away peacefully at Oakview Place at the age of 79. Remaining to forever cherish Don's memory are his two sons, John, wife Leanne and their family, Stephen and fiancé Stephanie; sisters, Teenie Pastershank, Regina Pankiw and Levinia Gerelus; brothers, Eugene, Nick and Joe. Don was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary (Duchominsky); sisters, Helen Koroscil, Natalie Ukrainice, Edith; and brothers, Mike, Paul, Zenon and Sam. Don was born in the Sandy Lake area and spent a few years working in Toronto. He then moved to Winnipeg where he worked as a mechanic for the City until retirement. Hunting and fishing were amongst Don's greatest passions. Picking mushrooms and berries were also a joy as well as visiting with family and friends. He was always grateful to everyone who dropped in for a visit. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Oakview Place for providing excellent care during his stay. On Friday, August 6, 2010, Don's funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street @ Manitoba Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations in Don's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
