HELEN (FROESE) BARTEL Helen was born to Peter B. and Maria (Penner) Froese in Rosenort, on May 9, 1913. She passed away with family at her side on July 31, 2010, at Maplewood Manor, Steinbach, MB. She is survived by two daughters: Susan (Lou) and Katherine; one son David (Marie); one son-in-law Albert; four grandchildren: Stephanie (John), Tony, Kevin and Susanna; four great-grandsons: Sean, Troy, Gavin and Jakob; and one sister-in-law Mary Froese. Mom was predeceased by her husband Abe in 1986, which left her very lonely. Her heart almost broke when her daughter Della passed away in 2005. Her parents and siblings also predeceased her. The welfare of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was very important to her. Special thanks to Maplewood Manor for the excellent care Mom was given. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Kleefeld, MB, with interment at the church cemetery.
