BARBARA ELLEN FURNISH January 2, 1927 - July 31, 2010 Barbara Ellen Furnish passed away peacefully at Deer Lodge Center, Winnipeg. Barb was born in Cape Town, South Africa and lived briefly in Southern Rhodesia and England before moving to Canada. She touched the lives of many with her soft smile, kind words and generosity. Barb was a Mom, a Granny and a Friend who will be missed. She is survived by son Michael (Cathy), son David, daughter Susan (Mike), granddaughter Barbara Jade, granddaughter Sandy (Hasitha) and grandson Robbie (Robyn), former husband Dennis and also special friend Diane. Mom's wishes to donate her eyes and her body for medical education have been honoured. A private family service will be held. Our thanks go out to the staff at Tower 5 at Deer Lodge Center for the care they provided Mom during her stay there.
