KENNETH CARL BARSTEAD Born July 7, 1935 in Flin Flon, Manitoba. It is with great sadness, on August 2, 2010, that we announce the death of our father, grandpa and great-grandpa. After a year long struggle with cancer dad passed away and has been reunited with his beloved wife, Elsie and dear brothers and sisters: Ivan, Tarjei, Bernie, Tom, Helen, Babes, as well as his grandson Aaron Olaf, his great-granddaughter Nizanna, and his best friend Horace Harel. He leaves to mourn his memory his daughter Cheryl (Tom Ricard) and sons, Brian (Sharon Marr), Carl, and grandchildren: Joshua, Rhianna, Benjamin Ricard, Emily and Sarah Barstead and great-grandchildren, Zane and Zi-anne Ricard and Bailey Pattison. He also leaves to mourn his memory his surviving brother Lloyd Barstad, as well as many nieces and nephews and their families that were dearly loved by our dad. The family expresses their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Victoria Hospital for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victoria General Hospital Memorial Garden, 2340 Pembina Highway, Winnipeg, MB R3T 2E8. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc. (across from Brookside Cemetery). All who knew Ken are welcome to attend. NEIL BARDAL INC.
