Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLEMENT ANDREW COURCHENE December 31, 1941 - August 5, 2010 It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clem Courchene, (Grandfather Bear, he who watches over us). After a lengthy battle of illnesses, Clem left this world peacefully on Thursday morning, August 5, at Health Sciences Centre. He is predeceased by his parents (Lillian and Louis), his grandson (Jerome), his mother-in-law (Nancy) and numerous other family members. He leaves to mourn his wife, Edith, children, Kim (Rick), Vivian, Ed (Romona), Bill (Chrissy). He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Lee (Vanessa) Aaleeyah and Zainen, Clint (Laura) Kiera and Brooklyn, Jordan, Joshua and Jeremy, Meegwan and Catlin, Alexis, Ed, Jada, Zach, Annabelle and Lovely, as well as numerous step-grandchildren: His brothers; Robert (Pam), Charlie (Donna) and his sister Louise and their families. He also leaves behind his all time companions who were never far away, Ernie Swain and Pepper (his cat). His passion was baking and cooking, and the outdoors. He was a hard worker, a Jack of all Trades. He worked many years as a Miner, Pulp Cutter, and Truck Driver. In his latter years he was unable to enjoy the quality of life he once knew. The family would like to thank all who assisted in caring for Clem throughout this ordeal. A great big thank you to the GH4 and GH7 staff at HSC for all your caring and compassionate help. A great big heart felt hug going out to Roger Armitte, Andrew, and Norman Meade for standing by the family in this difficult time. Funeral and Wake Services will be held at Manigotogan Community Center. Wake began on Friday evening and will continue till Sunday evening. Funeral Service is at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 9, with Norman Meade and Roger Armitte officiating. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but his memories will live on.
