Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH (KEN) WAYNE FRANKLIN March 31, 1943 - August 4, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ken on Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 67 years. Ken is lovingly remembered by his children, Tamara, Jason (Pam), Karen, Shannon (Michel) Levac; grandchildren: Randy, Racheal, Chloe, Emma, Gabriel and Xavier. He also leaves one sister Mary Coventry; sister-in-law Gail; brothers, Donald, Gordon (Mary), Stanley (Susan) and Norman (Pat); brothers and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, as well as his cherished dog Pumpkin . He was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Patricia, his parents William and Jennete, as well as his brothers James and John, and sister Diane Trupish. Ken was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather (Pappy) who enjoyed spending summers with his family and friends at the cottage in Falcon Lake. His many pastimes and joys included volunteering for various activities at Valley Gardens Community Club with his children including coaching baseball and soccer and taking pride in his role as Chief Umpire. One of Ken's greatest pleasures was playing goal as part of the Midnite Flyers Hockey Team. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing baseball, bowling, camping, traveling and riding on his scooter. Ken also took great pride in his 33 year career with the City of Winnipeg, as a professional structural engineer. The family wishes to thank the entire staff of 2 East and 3 East at Riverview Health Centre. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street, officiated by Campbell McIntyre. DESJARDINS 233-4949 1-888-233-4949
