Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTED KELLY May 16, 1952 August 1, 2010 With heavy hearts, but wonderful memories, we are sad to announce that Ted has finally lost his fight against cancer. Ted is survived by his wife April; son Ryan; daughter Laura; brother Tom of Calgary and numerous relatives. Ted grew up in Winnipeg, attended Queenston Elementary School, St. John Brebeuf, and graduated from Kelvin High School. After attending the University of Manitoba for one year, Ted enrolled at Lakehead University until he was accepted into the RCMP. After five years and 18 days in the force, primarily spent in the NWT (which he loved every minute of) Ted returned to Lakehead University and upon completing his Recreation Degree, returned to Winnipeg where he spent approximately five years working at each of the following companies: Harval, Jacob Crowley, Schneiders, Best Foods and Newswest, collecting friends as he went. In 1999 Ted realized his dream of owning a business at the lake when we purchased Falcon Lake Meat Grocery . Ted was actively involved in officiating hockey and played goalie. Ted played with the Winnipeg Monarchs, The Charleswood Hawks and also for Lakehead. Later, he was the Assistant Coach for the Charleswood Hawks. To honour Ted's love of the lake, a remembrance service at Falcon Lake will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the white tent in the park across from Falcon Lake Meat Grocery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Whiteshell Trail Association, Box 222, Falcon Beach, Manitoba R0E 0N0 for a bench in Ted's memory or to the Ted Kelly Memorial Scholarship Charleswood Hawks, Winnipeg, Manitoba. A tax receipt will be issued. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
