Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNICHOLAS RICHARD WATSON On Thursday, August 5, 2010, Nicholas Richard Watson succumbed after a highly courageous battle with cancer at the age of 79. Left to mourn and remember Nick are his children Rick and Bev (nee Gibson), Fran and Russell (husband). Bev was a daughter-in-law by marriage, but truly a daughter in Nick's heart. Also mourning the loss of their Poppa are his grandchildren, Steve, Mikey, Rachel, Ryan, Jarrett, and great-grandson Patrick. Nick may have been small in stature, but he was huge in heart, which was always worn in his sleeve. He had a love of music and was an active member in his church choir and a barbershop quartet. He loved to cook and excelled at it. He also appreciated a good glass of scotch. Nick's love for his family, his sense of humour and his heart will always be remembered and cherished by his family. He may be gone, but will never, ever be forgotten! Dad, Poppa , you were truly an inspiration and your loss will be sorely felt forever. Love, Franny and Russell, Rick and Bev, and your grandchildren. We will raise a glass of scotch to you, Dad! A special appreciation goes to Patricia and Roger Stagg, whose friendship and love went beyond all expectations. Also, thank you to the nurses at the Oncology unit at Seven Oaks and Dr. Lysiak. Their care and compassion went a long way in Dad's final days with his battle! Memorial service to take place on Thursday, August 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Selkirk Evangelical Church. Located at corner of Clandeboye and Jemima.
