KATHLIN NAGY (nee TURDA) It is with great sadness and heavy hearts the family announces the passing of our dear, sweet mother, Kathlin Nagy, age 74, at the St. Boniface Hospital on August 5, 2010. Born on July 12, 1936 in Nyirbátor, Hungary, Kathlin immigrated to Canada in 1956 with her husband Louis Nagy and their two young children Elizabeth and Leslie. They settled in Winnipeg in 1960 where Kathlin lovingly and tirelessly raised their nine children. She is predeceased by her daughter Ilene and her long time partner, Don Colleaux. Kathlin also known as Anyu (Mother) dedicated her life entirely to her family and she cherished the time she spent with them. She loved to cook and garden and there was always something cooking on the stove for her family whenever they dropped by. She was a long time member and volunteer of the Gordon King Memorial United Church. Our Mom was a very strong and vibrant person who fought her illness courageously right to the end. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends. A caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Kathlin is survived by her children, Elizabeth (John) Czuba, Leslie, Maria, Bill (Kathryn), Louie, Kathy, Susan, Johnny (Tracy) and her grandchildren Johnny, Christine (Philippe) Parent-Nobiss, Shawn, Christopher, Melissa, Lisa, Scott, Justin, Jessica, Holly, Emma, and great-grandson Alden. Thank you to the good people at the Palliative Support Team at the St. Boniface Hospital for all their loving care. In keeping with our Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to CancerCare of Manitoba.

Hi Anyu, life is not the same without you. You were always on the go, we used to have some good times together, especially with our family, Kathy, Maria and Louie. You loved to go for a drive in my car. We would drive out to the country, drive all over the place. You were so happy to be with us. I will see you when my time comes. 💕 - Posted by: Elizabeth Nagy (daughter) on: Feb 08, 2025
