Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA MARIE HALBOT Patricia Halbot, 64, of Halifax passed away peacefully July 31, 2010 in the Palliative Care Unit 7A, QEII Health Sciences Centre in the company of her dear friend Charlene. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of Alfred and Margaret (Gerrior) Halbot. Pat was educated at Convent of the Sacred Heart, secondary education at Seneca College, Toronto. She was dedicated to life learning taking courses at N.S.C.C. and Dalhousie University. Pat had an interesting career working on the Vinland Oil Rig as a weather technician during the blow out in the 1980s. During the past 20 years Pat had enjoyed working on many projects as an electrical draftsperson with Strum Engineering. She enjoyed golf, photography and travel to name a few. Pat possessed many talents and gifts which she shared generously with her family and friends. Pat was blessed with an extra special friend who helped her journey through her final illness. Charlene Yuille (Thomas) was her Earth Angel who helped without question and was always there for her. The family wants to extend their heartfelt thanks for all the kindness she showed to Pat and everyone in the family. Her Guysboro County and New Glasgow cousins held a Celebration of Life Party in June at Larrys River. Thank you, it meant everything to Pat, her family and friends. She is survived by sister Margaret (Peg) Carels, Ste Anne, MB, two nieces Karen (Tony) SanFilippo, Winnipeg; Linda (Steve) Allden, Ste Anne; nephew Mike Bourgouin (Karen Alexiuk), Winnipeg, 11 grandnieces and nephews, four great-grandnieces and nephews, many special cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Walter Halbot in infancy, John Edward Halbot and nephew Mark Bourgoin. The special angels at the Palliative Care 7A VG, Doctors, Residents, Nurses, Music Therapy Department and Volunteers, you provide a place of utmost dignity and grace for those to transition. Thank You. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Mary's Cathedral Basilica, Halifax, on August 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., the Very Reverend Paul Morris officiating. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to The Breakwater Cats Rescue League c/o Woodbury Animal Hospital, Halifax, Canadian Cancer Society or any charity of choice.
