ROBERT (BOB) WEGNER March 18, 1953 - August 7, 2010 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our father, Robert (Bob) Wegner, in Winnipeg on August 7, 2010. Robert was predeceased by his wife Chérie Wegner in 2000 and his father Hugo Wegner in 1987. He is survived by his children Chris (Danielle) Wegner, Renee (David) Cronk, and Ryan (Wendy) Wegner, loving grandchildren Harley, Abigail, James, Alexandra, Brooke, Ethan, Paige and Kaylah, his mother Elsie Wegner, brothers David (Margaret) Wegner, Ted (Judy) Wegner, in-laws Donald and Lizette How, sister-in-law Lorelei (Ron) Fife, brother-in-law Larry Kashuba, and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Robert was born in Yorkton, SK, March 18, 1953. He later moved to Winnipeg, MB where he met and married his wife Chérie and they raised three children together. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, cherishing the time he had with them. After 35 years of service he had retired from M.T.S. this year. For the past 15 years Robert was a well-known member of the Aactive Pool League, making many friends and competing yearly in Las Vegas. As an active member of Larter's Golf and Country Club he could be found on the course with Geoff and his regular golf group every weekend. Most mornings Robert could be found picking up his morning coffee or spending time with his coffee group. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. We would like to thank the ambulance services, fire department, and Winnipeg Police Department for all their help and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to a charity of your choice.
