CAROLINE ROSE PRUDEN (nee GUSHTA) Sadly we announce the passing of Caroline Pruden on August 7, 2010, age 77, at the Concordia Hospital, Winnipeg. She is survived by her son James (Dawn); precious grandchildren Nicole and Dylan; sister Frances (Peter); brother Leslie (Sandra); several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband John (Ed) in 1998, and her parents John and Lena Gushta. Caroline was born on October 1, 1932 in Libau and grew up on the farm. She received her high school education at Daniel McIntyre Collegiate. She married John in 1957 and resided in East St. Paul. In 1999 she moved to an apartment in North Kildonan. She worked for Crown Life Insurance Co. until her son was born, after which she became a full time homemaker. Her hobbies were baking, trying new recipes, sewing and knitting. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 12 at 10:30 a.m in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. Viewing will take place one half hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the St. James Anglican Cemetery, Libau, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Society. We would also like to thank the staff at the Concordia Hospital. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
