CRAIG JEFFREY ODDLEIFSON Peacefully on August 7, 2010 Craig Jeffrey Oddleifson passed away at the Arborg Hospital. Survived by his wife Linda (Palson); children: Kristin, Darren, and Laura; mother Norma Oddleifson; sisters: Judy (Karvel) Karvelson, Marlene (Barry) Zagozewski, Shelley (Tom) Bjornson, and brother Curtis Oddleifson. Sisters-in-law: Susan (Elwyn) Smerchanski, Donna (Stefan) Stevens, Helga (Robert) Dahlman, Heather (Pete) Bobbie, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many good friends. Predeceased by his father Sammy, mother-in-law Freda Palson, father-in-law Thor Palson. Craig was born in Arborg, MB on November 14, 1959. After graduating from High School he worked in the ambulance service in Arborg, Winnipeg Beach, and Malron Ambulance in Portage la Prairie from 1980 to 1986. Craig worked at Health Sciences Centre in emergency and security before returning to Arborg to raise his family. Craig was active in the community, volunteering on the Arborg Ambulance, and Fire Department (helping bring in the Jaws of Life), Arborg Minor Hockey Team Manager, and a Kinsmen Member. For health reasons, Craig was a stay at home dad. He was a very kind and gentle man. His smile, sense of humour, and laughter will be missed. The last few months working on his Bucket list will be treasured by many. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Gerges, Dr. Miniuk, May Peiluck, A.D.H.C. and clinic staff for their excellent care, and compassion. A celebration of his life will take place Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church, 301 River Road West, Arborg. Interment to follow at the Haga Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Craig may be made to Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church, Box 160, Arborg or to Haga Cemetery Box 416, Arborg MB.
