VALENA ANDERSON (nee WEPRUK) 1921 - 2010 On August 9, 2010 at St. Boniface Hospital, Val passed away peacefully with family by her side. She was predeceased by her loving husband Harry in 1982. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Carol (Clifford), son Ken (Marilyn), grandchildren, Brian, Gary, Blair and Laura, six great-grandchildren, four brothers and one sister, as well as her long time friend Donna. Prior to her marriage, Val was a member of the Air Force Women's Division, serving in many different capacities throughout Western Canada. Val will always be remembered for her independence, tenacity and generosity as well as for her amazing cooking and baking skills. A celebration of Val's life will be held on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society, 105 - 386 Broadway or a charity of choice. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
