HILDEGARD BREDENHOLLER On August 6, 2010, Hildegard Bredenholler (nee Wieler) was peacefully called home to be with her Lord and Saviour, as well as her loving husband Bill who passed only a month prior. Hildegard Wieler was born on October 13, 1936 in Fernheim, Paraguay to David and Maria (nee Neudorf) Wieler. In 1957, she immigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba, where she met Bill Bredenholler. The couple married on June 13, 1964 and were blessed with two children, Heidi Christine and Ferdinand Juergen. In 2006 they were further blessed with their only grandson, Benjamin Cole. Hildegard studied nursing while in Paraguay, and after immigrating to Canada became a hair stylist, winning several awards and owning her own salon. Her artistic talents continued to flourish throughout her life as a painter, seamstress, gardener, and baker. She was an active volunteer with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and church ladies groups. Hildegard loved church life, with memberships at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Winnipeg and Trinity Lutheran Church in Abbotsford. She will be deeply missed by her children Heidi and Asish Prasad, Ferdinand and Michelle Bredenholler, grandson Ben, and siblings Alwina and Henry Jesse, Gerda and Konrad Messer, Annemarie Hirsch, and Leonore Wieler. Hildegard has been predeceased by her loving husband Bill Bredenholler, and siblings Ingrid Ginter, Johanna Wieler, and Hans Werner Wieler. Memorial Services have been held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Wednesday, August 11 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be forwarded to the Canadian Cancer Society, BC Yukon Division (By Mail: Attention Donor Services, 565 West 10th Ave., Vancouver, BC V5Z 4J4; Phone: 1-888 700-1131, or online: www.cancer.ca) in memory of Hildegard Bredenholler.
