Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER JOHN ROSS 1951 - 2010 Walter John Ross, passed away Friday, June 25, 2010 at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro, Nova Scotia, following a short battle with cancer. He was 58. He is survived by his wife and best friend Maggie, one brother, Ted (Gail) and family of Grosse Isle, Manitoba, and numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be greatly missed by his feline companions, Sadie, Thimble, Boo, and Snippy. He was predeceased by his parents, Art and Helen Ross, and also by an infant son. John was raised in Winnipeg's West End, where he attended Daniel MacIntyre Collegiate. He owned and operated Titan Technology Inc. in Winnipeg for 17 years, selling in 2003, at which time he went to work for Syrotech Industries. In 2006, he and Maggie left Manitoba to pursue the dream of living in Nova Scotia. They restored the old Wentzell place in Rossway, Digby Neck, where John started Seawall Services. In 2008, they moved to Salmon River, Colchester County, and John went to work for Eastlink. John loved to work on cars, most recently his '57 Chevy. He also loved to spend time exploring his new home province. A gathering of Wally's friends will take place at ARMY, NAVY, AIR FORCE VETERANS CLUB, 300 - 1395 Ellice Ave. (on Empress between Ellice and St. Matthews) on Tuesday, August 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. All of Wally's friends are welcome.
