Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERALD EDWARD BOND (JERRY) 1932 - 2010 Jerry passed peacefully on July 28, 2010 at the Victoria General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife (of 32 years) Marlene (nee Bennett). Jerry was born in Winnipeg. Jerry loved all his children dearly: Ed Bond (wife Cathe) of Winnipeg; Sue Knapp (husband Neil) of Ottawa; Shelly Goodacre (husband Curtis) of Winnipeg; Debbie Nykolaishen (husband Terry) of Amherstburg, ON. Jerry was predeceased by his parents and son Peter. His grandchildren adored him and were sad with his passing: Andrew, Lindsay, Steve, Tara, Jordan, Kevin, Wyatt, Keegan, Chris, Michael, Brittney, Brandel and great-grandson Xander (aka Zinger). Jerry worked for M.T.S. for 38 years and retired in 1987. His life was a colourful adventure with a two year stay in Saudi Arabia (with Mar) working for Bell Canada. He enjoyed many crafts after retiring, loved his golf, and travelling through the States. His greatest joy was his family and never tired of our stories and time. His sense of humour and kidding' was the essence of his soul. Jerry's final wish was to share his body with the University of Manitoba Human Anatomy and Cell Sciences. He requested there be no funeral service. So we say goodbye to a man loved by many and dearly missed by all who knew him. Bye Dad! We love you...
