CECIL RAYMOND CHOKEN (BEETLE) Peacefully on August 13, 2010, with family by his side, Cecil Raymond Choken passed away at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale, MB. He leaves to mourn his daughter Cheyanne; mother Florence Choken; brothers, Michael, Albert (wife Lynn) and Charles; sisters, Elizabeth and Tina; also his special uncle Norbert Choken; aunties, Bettie White (Jackie), Rose, Jean, Vivian, Nora, along with his nephews and nieces. Cecil was a caring, loving person to all who knew him especially to his best friends, Brian Cochrane and Marvin Swan. He always had a smile for everyone. He enjoyed working, fishing and hunting. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Wilfred Paul; brother Ivan Choken; brothers-in-law, Lawrence Sinclair and Cory Sinclair; his grandparents, Colin and Mary Choken along with many relatives that went before him. Wake services began at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 15, 2010 and will continue on August 16, 2010 at Florence Choken's residence. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church in Lake Manitoba with Father Roy officiating. Interment to follow in the Lake Manitoba Reserve Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leo Choken, Jamie Moar, Charles Choken, Doug Paul, Brendon Sinclair and Clifford Swan Jr. The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Burnet, nurses and staff at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale, MB, to the Chief and Council and to all community members for the donations and all their help in our time of need.
