ARLENE DORIS (BUGS) BRUCE 1944 - 2010 It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Arlene (Bugs) Bruce. Mom passed away Friday, August 13, while enjoying her cabin at Loon Straits on Lake Winnipeg. She is survived by her son Trevor; brothers Neil (Val), Edgar (Doreen); sisters Joyce (Jack), Josie (George), Verna (Gil); sisters-in-law Millie and Bobbie; brothers-in-law Dave and Ian (Margaret), and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and her precious little dog Skuff . Bugs was predeceased by her husband Ken; parents Mary and Allan; brothers Martin and Harvey; sister Shirley; brothers-in-law Ernie, Stoney and Walter; sister-in-law Carol and nephew Jamie. Mom was a unique person who was always busy. There was nothing she couldn't do, whether gardening, sewing, knitting or doing home maintenance she gave it her best. At the time of her passing she was busy working on the cottage. Some of her happiest times were spent at Loon Straits with her family and friends. Mom will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. With her great personality, sense of humour and the loving way she touched many lives. At her request there will be no formal service. Her remains will be laid to rest at a later date at Loon Straits with her husband Ken. Donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba.
