CAROLINE JOAN NICHOLSON (nee ANCEL) After a long battle with cancer Caroline Nicholson, peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 72 years. Remaining to forever cherish Caroline's memory are her daughter Chawna (Mike); grandchildren, Mike Jr. (Katie), Sarah (Ben), and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Grady, Jordyn, Riley, Kyla, Brenna, Tristan; siblings, Alan (Barb), June, Mark (Jeanie), Jean and Pat; as well as 22 nephews and nieces; and numerous great-nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her father Joseph Ancel; mother Amelia (Millie) Ancel, and sisters, Madeline Pritchett and Elaine Pelltier. Caroline appreciated her family every day of her life; she enjoyed singing to babies, family gatherings, weddings, baking cookies for everyone at Christmas and wrapping gifts. She especially loved spending time with her sisters and nieces; also enjoying walks in the Zoo with grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her goddaughter's beautiful garden was always so peaceful to her and made her very happy. Personally, Mom I will miss our Saturday adventures, Sunday lunches and evening talks, but will not be sad because you were the most loving mother a daughter could have. Your cute sayings and humour will forever be a part of me. Love you mom always. On Wednesday, August 18, 2010 Caroline's Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. In lieu of flowers, family and friends that so desire may make a donation in Caroline's name to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
