Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryORVILLE F. MUTCHER 1931 - 2010 Peacefully on August 17, 2010 at the Poseidon Care Centre, Orville Frederick Mutcher of Winnipeg passed away. Orville was predeceased by his beloved wife Vera, his parents Ben and Rose Mutcher and sister Josephine. He leaves to cherish his memory his family Herb (Liz), Francis (Marie), Dean (Laurel Anne), several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a large extended family. Orville came from a large family with 13 brothers and sisters: Kay (Harry), Dorothy (Albert), Bernice, Kenny (Sylvia), Marie, Clarence (Margaret), Otto (Eileen), Josie (Tony), Betty, Larry (Delores), Frank (Jo-Ann), and Gordon. He was close to his family and will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. Orville was born March 24, 1931 at Pembina municipality in Manitoba. He grew up in the Manitou area, moving later to the Langruth area where he farmed. Orville later moved to Portage la Prairie where he was employed by the Province of Manitoba. After he retired he and Vera moved to Winnipeg. Orville enjoyed watching baseball, cooking, country music and together with Vera collecting salt and pepper shakers. He loved the farm life and enjoyed family gatherings. Orville was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Langruth and in Selkirk at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. We will remember him as a kind hearted and patient gentleman. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 20 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk with Pastor Terri-Ann Mattiasson officiating. Interment of ashes will take place prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. at the Selkirk Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Orville's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
