Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN BAPTISTE (TI JEAN) GAGNON June 24, 1935 - August 17, 2010 On August 17 after a long and courageous battle with cancer ti Jean left to meet his maker. ti Jean was born in St. Adolphe and lived in St. Adolphe all his life. He was predeceased by his father François and mother Lucia (Lécuyer), his sister Jeanne Schamber, his father and mother-in-law Adrien and Eva Leclerc, one brother-in-law Sim Soucy. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Alice, his four sons Denis, Roger, Hubert, Gerard (Patricia) and his precious grand-children Joshua and Hanna. He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters: Gisèle (Jos) Tognet, Paul (Simone), Aurèle (Denise), Marie (Léon) Sarrasin, Maurice (Donna) and brother-in-law John Schamber. His in-laws Lucille Soucy, Jacqueline (Dan) Lagassé, Henriette (David) Milette, Rita (Dan) Ritchot, Jacques (Sherie) Leclerc, Diane (Ernie) Neufeld, Gilbert (Denise) Leclerc, Arthur (Suzanne) Leclerc, Gérald (Muriel) Leclerc, Paul Leclerc, Michelle (Neal) Hastings, Suzanne (Nolan) Einarson, many nieces, nephews and friends. John worked many years at CNR. After his retirement as long as health would permit him he went on trips such as Dominican Republic, Cuba, Mexico, Hawaii and many more. When John saw something he liked he would take out his tools and build a lot of friends and family cherish hockey stick tables, spoon racks etc. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Victoria General Hospital for their care and compassion. Thank you also for Home Care and nurses provided by South Eastman Health. Prayers will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 20 at the St. Adolphe Roman Catholic Church followed by funeral mass at 2:00 p.m., with Father Dominic La Fleur officiating. Following mass ti Jean's cremated remains will be laid to rest in the Parish cemetery. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 or to a charity of their choice.
