Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARILYN SHOLTZ Marilyn Sholtz peacefully passed from this life at Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern on August 18, 2010. Marilyn was born to Eddie and Edna Bundt in Carroll, Iowa, USA, July 7, 1942 and lived on a farm there until they moved to Bottrel, AB in 1961. In December 1961 she married Len Sholtz. Len and Marilyn, with children Terri and Mike then moved to a farm near Ashern, MB in August 1964 and have resided there since. Marilyn worked at Petro Can when it was still the Gulf Station, and her love of music served her as she sang the National Anthem at rodeos and at the One Box Sharptail Hunt. Her working career was highlighted by working as a teacher's aide, where she helped with the music program. Marilyn worked for 23 years at the Dept. of Health and Social Services. Marilyn loved the people she worked with and she retired from her job there in 1999. Marilyn leaves behind her husband Len of Ashern; one daughter, Terri Kean (Darrell) of Ft. McMurray, AB; one son Mike (Gayle) of Spokane Valley, WA. USA; five granddaughters -Mari-Beth and Melissa, both of Ft. McMurray; and Chloe, Cassie and Claire of Spokane Valley, WA, and many extended family members and friends whom she loved. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ashern Gospel Chapel, with Pastor Bill Watson and Pastor Ivor Grant officiating. Lunch will be served immediately after the service. Interment to follow in the Ashern Gospel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations to Lakeshore Hospital Guild, Ashern Palliative Care Unit in c/o Julie Bergner, Box 721, Ashern MB. ROC OEO.
