JOHN ANTHONY SWEERS It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of an amazing brother, uncle, friend and neighbour. Johnny passed away very suddenly but peacefully in his home in Winnipeg on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at the age of 71 years. Remaining to forever cherish John's memory are his sisters, Carol Buckley and Doreen Sweers; brother Robert (Kim); four nieces and four nephews. John was predeceased by his mother, Edna Lillian Sweers (nee Payne); father, John Wilham Sweers, and sister Edna Jolicoeur (Ernie). John's graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Vital Cemetery, 236 River Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Family and friends are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, Suite 200, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L 0K6.
