ALINE LAVERGNE (nee HEBERT) Entourée de sa famille, Aline nous a quittés paisiblement à l'âge de 82 ans, le 21 ao t 2010. Elle laisse dans le deuil son époux de 61 ans Martial; leurs enfants Réal (Val), Norman (Alana), Julien (Angel), Danielle (Ihor Holowczynsky) et Ginette (Gilles Paillé); ainsi que 18 petits-enfants et 4 arrières petits-enfants. Egalement dans le deuil sont sa soeur Sr Louise (Hélène) sgm et son frère Denis (Rita). Aline was born in St-Pierre on July 1, 1928, the eighth of 12 children. Following the passing of her mother, she took on, from the tender age of 16, a large part of the family's household duties. On June 18, 1949, she married Martial Lavergne, also from St-Pierre. They resided in Sprague, St-Pierre, and finally in Winnipeg. Aline cared for her family with unparalleled devotion. Her family was the centre of her life, her raison d'être. There was no greater joy for her than to be surrounded by her loved ones and indulge them with her generous hospitality. In the community, Aline sang in the Saints-Martyrs-Canadiens and Saint-Eugène Church choirs. She also worked as a teacher's assistant for a dozen years. La famille remercie sincèrement le personnel du Centre Taché pour les soins attentionnés accordés au cours des derniers cinq mois. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at l'église St-Eugène, followed by interment of ashes at the St-Boniface Cemetery.
