MARY (HELEN) BENNETT (nee PARKES) March 22, 1917 - August 21, 2010 Helen passed away peacefully with family by her side. She is deeply loved and missed by Bob, Husband of 71 years, four children, Beverly, Wayne (Tina), Gordon (Val), and Darlene (Martin), ten Grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren, Brothers Bob (Ede), Ted and sister Betsy. Helen was a beautiful woman loved by many. She found that the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand as in what direction we are moving. To reach the port of heaven, we must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it - But we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor. With her lord and forever cherished in our memory. Memorial service on Saturday, August 28, 2010 2:30 p.m. at Evergreen Baptist Home, 1550 Oxford Street. White Rock. Extra parking across the street.
