JOHN PAPAS It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear brother, uncle, and great-uncle John Papas, on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 80 years. John was predeceased by his parents John and Helen, infant brother Thomas, sister Louise Smidt, brothers-in-law Peter Pranys, Leonard Smidt, nieces Dana Lee Papas, Lorraine Pranys, nephew Gregory Smidt. He will be lovingly remembered by sister Jennie Pranys, brother Edward (Maxine) Papas, nephews Robert (Marilyn) Pranys, Dean (Caroline) Papas, great-nephews Andrew and Mathew Pranys, cousins, neighbours and dear friends. John farmed for many years in Carlowrie, Manitoba. He was one of five siblings, and family was everything. He was always a pillar of strength for his family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 25 at Christ the King Parish, 847 St. Mary's Road with Father Renato Pasinato celebrant. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Special thank you Dr. Joel Gringrich and Cheryl Greaves, homecare and all the wonderful staff of the Riverview Health Centre for their loving care and support.
