WILLIAM GEORGE (BILL) MACLEOD March 22, 1937 - August 20, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill MacLeod on Friday, August 20, 2010. He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 49 years lda, daughters Lisa and Tracie Rigby, his grandson Braydin Rigby, sister Catherine Tarr as well many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Gertrude MacLeod. Bill was born and raised in St Boniface and attended schools in the Norwood School Division. He began his working years in the cardboard industry and also tried his hand at sales before moving on to Air Movement and Mechanical Services where he spent 32 years, before retiring in 2002. Bill was an active member of Norwood Presbyterian Church and a long standing member and elder of St Andrews. Everyone enjoyed Bill's many stories and sense of humor. Bill was known for his great love of animals and enjoyed his time at the family cottage relaxing and keeping things in repair. He lived his life to the fullest and brought happiness and support to his family and to all the lives he touched. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff of St. Adolphe Personal Care Home for their compassionate care and support. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 709 St Marys Road with reception to follow. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society or St. Andrews Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.
