Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMURRAY EDWIN STEWART It is with deep sadness that the family of Murray Edwin Stewart announce the passing of our Dad, Grandpa, Big Grandpa, Brother and Uncle at Boundary Trails Health Centre on August 23, 2010 at the age of 79. Murray will be missed by his children Ken (Myrna), Arlene Deprez (Laurie), Bev Atkins (Eric), Bob (Nancy), Don (Linda), Ron (Rosanne), Gord (Debbie); grandchildren Keri (Justin), Brett, Derek (Robyn), Leah (Kevin), Greg (Jessie), Cory, Melissa, Angie, Randy, Brian, Kevin, Mark, Scott, Jennifer (Jon), Marlise, Kristy, Kelsey; great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Evan, Matthew, and Avery. He also leaves to mourn his brothers Alex (Joyce), Ken (Marilyn), Lloyd (Darlene), in-laws Kitty Stewart, Mary Stewart, Bob Appleyard, Irene Coleman (Gerald), Pat Appleyard, Shirley King, Art McFee (Audrey), Ron McFee (Edith), Keith McFee, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded by his parents Walter and Ethel Stewart, wife Ruby, brothers Glen and Keith, and sisters Doreen Appleyard and Beryl Good. Murray was born May 5, 1931 to Walter and Ethel Stewart in Lilyfield, MB. He started work driving a milk truck, then drove semi truck for Royal Transport and later drove bus for Grey Goose Bus Lines. In 1974 he and Mom owned and operated Stewart's Restaurant in Manitou, retiring in 1989. He was an avid hunter and curler, in 1975 scoring the ultimate prize, an 8 ender . He and mom loved to go on camping trips with the family and were passionate about fishing. Dad was a very proud man and was most proud of his family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren kept the twinkle in his eye. At Dad's request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, August 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrews United Church in Manitou. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association.
