Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDITH LEONA BALLANTYNE (LEIGH) March 4, 1971 - August 20, 2010 It is with extreme heartfelt pain we announce the sudden passing of our mother, daughter, sister, cousin, auntie, niece and friend on August 20, 2010 at the Health Sciences Centre. Leigh was born and raised in Winnipeg. She lived her life to the fullest every day. She leaves to mourn her untimely passing her mother Ruby Ballantyne; step-father Wayne Palidwor; father Peter Neckoway; brother Darrell (Cheryl); sister Loretta; her children Pheonix Martin, Cory Kelly Ann Ballantyne, Jason Cody Ballantyne (J.C.), and Memphis Moon Ballantyne as well as numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Wake and funeral services will be held Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. and Friday, August 27, 2010 followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 28 at the Chief Peter Beardy Memorial Centre in Grand Rapids, MB, with the Rev. Steve Martin officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. It's never goodbye, it's always see you later -Leona Ballantyne

Was just wanting to say hi and saw you past away. I'm very sad to hear this. We were good friends Leona, Lori and I. We hung out together everywhere. I can't believe you are gone. I will miss you so much, I was hoping to catch up on old times, I have alot of pics of you and the gang I wanted to share with you..but now you are with God.
