Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPRISCILLA DUFAULT (DAVIS) (nee DE GAGNE) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, August 23, 2010, in Palm Springs, CA. Mom was born in La Broquerie, Manitoba on September 27, 1918. She was the sixth eldest in a family of 15 wonderful brothers and sisters. She was predeceased by her husband Lucien (1976), her brothers, infant Victorin, Raoul, Gene, Hermas, Denis, her sisters Jeanette, Alma and Lilliane; sisters-in-law Patricia, Claudette and brother-in-law Claude Dufault. She is survived by her sisters Rita, Dolores (Art), Isabel, Doris, Rolande (Alec), her brother, Charles De Gagne (Armelle) and sisters-in-law Dianne and Jennine. She leaves to mourn her passing, sons Ron (Dorothy), Dennis, and daughters Suzanne and Jacquie (Paul). Mom's greatest joy was her grandchildren Monica, Lisa, Patrick, Corey, Jeffrey, Ronnie, Christopher, Michelle and her great-grandchildren Benjamin, Justine, Stephan, Isabelle, Catherine, Garrett, Allora, Marcel, Robert, Brittanie and Jacob. She was blessed with the latest great-grandchild, Leah, who she affectionately referred to as Lulu. Our mother was the epitome of the loving parent who nevertheless wielded a firm hand. A quick lifting of her eyebrow or the waggling of her finger signified she meant business and children, even adults, hastily mended their ways. Mom, often described as a woman before her time, had an uncanny acumen for business matters and finances which she brought to her many enterprises. She was a copious reader which she kept up until her failing eyesight, well into her 90th year. We, her children, acknowledge her tireless contribution to our well-being and that of our children and grandchildren. Rest in peace, Mom! The family would like to thank most especially the wonderful staff members at Windsor Court Assisted Living, Odyssey Hospice Services, and Desert Regional Hospital in Palm Springs for the care and love they extended to our mother during her final days. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held in Huntington Beach in November.
