Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY GALBICHKA Peacefully on August 26, 2010, Mary Galbichka passed away. She was a resident of Villa Youville for eight years. She leaves children Mary (Ernie) Futros, Elsie (Jules) La Joie, Stanley (Shannon), Johnny (Chris), and Julian, 21 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her husband Teofil in 2005, son Cyril in 2009 and grandchildren Mary La Joie, and Randy Futros. Mary was born in Radnovci, Slovakia on September 8, 1914. She married Teofil in 1934 and left Slovakia in 1937. Their first home was in Malonton, MB, and later Rosewood. Mom was a great cook. She worked many wedding bees as was the custom then for people marrying. Mom enjoyed gardening, needle work, baking, and playing cards. She baked for many fall suppers, teas, and card parties at St. Michael's Church. Mom's greatest joy in life were her children and later grandchildren. The family would like to thank Villa Youville for their excellent care and especially Sr. Irene. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Notre Dame de Lorette Roman Catholic Church, Lorette, MB. Interment will be held in Green Acres Cemetery.
