OLLIE HYNDUIK November 1928 - July 2010 Ollie passed away in the early hours on July 6th in Dundas, Ontario, where she resided for many years. She was predeceased by her dad Wasyl in September 1972 and her mother Martha in June 1998 and a brother Philip. Surviving Ollie is her sister Jean Zemlak and husband Buzz of Langley, BC, and their sons, Bill Zemlak of Naperville, Illinois, and Barry Zemlak and partner Gary of White Rock, BC; cousin Walter Wasylyshyn and his wife Sonia of St. Andrews, MB, and their son Peter of North Kildonan; nephew Wayne and niece Jo-Anne and their families; and many other dear relatives and friends in Winnipeg and suburbs etc., and many dear friends in Dundas. Besides her bowling accomplishments; but it took till now to finally strike out; Ollie also excelled in golf, winning many awards. She was a longtime member of the St. Boniface Golf Course. She also played catcher for the C.U.A.C. Senior Ladies Fastball Team, but decided to stay with bowling and in 1952 bowled a perfect game. She also spent 10 years at the Winnipeg Winter Club as a Bowling Professional. In 1973 Ollie was honoured by the Provincial Government being awarded The Manitoba Order of the Buffalo, and she also was inducted into the Manitoba Five Pin Hall of Fame in 1990. Thanks to the late Harold Loster of The Winnipeg Sun for some dates in his column in 1990 on Ollie. Interment will take place at Glen Eden Gardens at a later date. Wojcik's Funeral Chapel is in care of arrangements.
