Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD BRUCE WILSON October 19, 1929 - August 12, 2010 Bruce died in Jasper surrounded by family, after many years of struggling with Alzheimer's disease. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Patricia, his sons Jeff (Gillian), Peter (Pam), Brian of Jasper, daughter Pamela Jean of Winnipeg, plus his grandsons Peter and Colin of Jasper, numerous nieces and nephews in Ottawa, as well as his niece Karin Coppens of Maryland. Bruce was predeceased by his mother Violet, father Harold and sister Margaret. Bruce was born in Toronto, Ontario. He graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Forestry (1954) and earned a Graduate Diploma, Resource Management (1969). He was an officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force for nine years and had a long career with Parks Canada in Georgian Bay Islands National Park, Jasper N.P., Prince Albert N.P., and Head of Visitor Services for Prairie and Northern Region of Parks Canada in Winnipeg. Pat and Bruce retired to Jasper in 2006 to be closer to their children. Bruce was passionate about many things in his life including canoeing in Northern Sask., snowshoeing in Prince Albert N.P., skiing in Whistlers Creek in Jasper, and watching sunsets at his wilderness cabin in northern Saskatchewan. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta, 10531 Kingsway Ave., Edmonton, AB, T5H 4K1.
