CYRIL AUGUST MUYS September 12, 1923 - August 27, 2010 On August 27, 2010 Cyril passed away at home with his family at his side. He was predeceased by his wife Agnes, his parents Irma and Gustaaf Muys, step granddaughter Kim, brother Charles, sisters Godelieve, Mary and Irene. Left to cherish in his memory are his children, stepson John (Martha), Marlene, Brenda (Doug), Gordon (Harlyne), Cheryl (Terry), Gerald (Nancy), Darlene (Ted) and Michelle. Also left to cherish are his ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, his remaining brothers and sisters and many relatives and friends. Dad was born on September 12, 1923 at the Misericordia Hospital. Dad grew up in Fort Whyte on his family's dairy farm. Dad was a truck driver for many years with Brewery Products, Labbatts and ABD. Dad enjoyed spending time with all of his family and friends. Dad was a member of the Fort Garry Legion Branch #90 where he enjoyed playing bingo. Dad also sold tickets for anyone at any time and also loved watching all of his sports. The family would like to thank the palliative care nurses for their compassion and help. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. at the Thomson in The Park on McGillivray Blvd. The funeral will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Vital Parish on Pembina Hwy. with the reception to follow at the Fort Garry Legion #90. Dad, we will remember your great smile, your strength and your shining blue eyes.
