Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD JOHN BAIN April 26, 1947 - August 29, 2010 It is with heartbreaking sorrow that we announce the passing of Edward. Ed was born in Sandy Lake, Manitoba and lived there until his teen years after which he moved to Winnipeg. Ed, known endearingly as Pops to his family will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Valerie and his children, Dwayne, Dean, Andrew, Carrie-Anne, Leigh, Anita and Beverly. He was predeceased by his son Darren. Also left to mourn are 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson and also family and friends. It was so difficult to let him go but we are grateful that his battle with cancer is over. He fought the the good fight, he finished his course and he had the faith. Night God Bless Pops. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the doctors and nurses of Shoal Lake Health Centre for their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place and the funeral service will be held Friday, September 3, 2010 at Calvary Gospel Church, Elphinstone at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Nathanial Picklyck officiating. A time of fellowship and sharing of memories will follow at the Elphinstone Memorial Hall. If friends so desire, donations in Ed's name may be made to Shoal Lake - Strathclair Health Centre, Box 490, Shoal Lake, MB R0J 1Z0. Remembrances and condolences may be emailed to raesfs@mts.net.
