EDWIN (TED) ARTHUR SHAW Ted Shaw died peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on August 28, 2010 at the age of 89 years. He was predeceased by his wife Pearl, parents William and Margaret, and brothers William and James. He is survived by his daughters Pat and Susan, son David, grandsons Kent (Kristin) and Jaimie, great-grandson Oliver, sister Alice, brothers David (Doreen) and Jack, and many nieces and nephews. Ted grew up in Winnipeg and retired from the CPR in 1984 after 43 years of service. He was a proud Second World War Veteran and member of Rockwood ANAF. He loved spending summers at Winnipeg Beach and being part of the community there. He enjoyed music, dancing, woodworking, bingo, garage sales, lotteries, and meat draws. He was a quiet, gentle man who loved his family. He will be missed. Thank you to the many friends and neighbours who provided support and help over the past few years. Memorial service will be held at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. on Friday, September 3 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
