BETTY JEAN MACDONALD (nee CRUISE) Betty was born March 5, 1932 on the family farm in Pilot Mound and passed away peacefully August 29, 2010 at the Victoria Hospital. She is survived by her son Bob and wife Linda, daughter Aynsley and husband Bill Carey and her grandchildren Tara and Lindsay MacDonald and Taylor, Mac and Morgan Carey. Also, great-grandchildren Cody and Riley Simpson and Haylyn Riediger and one great-great-grandson Ryder Simpson. Her brother Bob Cruise and wife Grace and her sisters-in-law Eveline Cruise and Ina Birch also mourn her passing along with many nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her husband The DA Don MacDonald, her parents Bob and Wilma Cruise and her brother Ron Cruise. After her move to Winnipeg and her marriage to Don, Betty worked for the Court of Queen's Bench of the Province of Manitoba. She was well respected in the Winnipeg legal community for her extensive knowledge of Probate law in her role of Deputy Registrar of the Surrogate Court. Thanks to the staff of Sterling House and The Victoria Hospital for their care and compassion shown to Betty and her family. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Churchill Park United Church 525 Beresford Avenue.
