Jovita grew up in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte and later married Judge Flaviano Agpalza and settled in San Agustin, Isabela. With strong faith in God and determination to achieve the best, Jovita together with her husband Judge Flaviano raised nine children while she worked as an elementary school teacher and eventually became the school principal. After retirement, she immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada in 1980. Her enthusiasm and determination in pursuit of knowledge and excellence was her legacy to her children and grandchildren. Even in her senior years she took courses at the Red River College and University of Winnipeg, and was an active member of a few Toastmasters Clubs. Jovita and her husband had generously welcomed and hosted numerous international missionaries to their home. The Free Gospel Church of San Agustin, Isabela, still stands today as a testament to their faith, generosity and strong leadership. Jovita had sowed the seeds of faith across the seas and across three generations. Jovita had walked in her integrity - her children are blessed after her: Proverbs 20:7 KJV The family would like to extend their appreciation to: the WRHA Home Care Services and care givers especially to Maria and Rosalie; to the Seven Oaks General Hospital Emergency Department for their understanding and compassion; to Pastor Bruce Martin, Pastor W. Andasan, Pastor Danrey Amoyo and Pastor Junie Josue, for their presence, prayers and comforting words.
