BERNARD WARREN HASTINGS Peacefully on August 31, 2010 at Victoria Hospital, Warren Hastings aged 89 years. Warren was born in London, England on October 4, 1920, the only child of Phyllis Wilbert Hastings. He was a musician (drums) in the army, and also had his own band The Don Warren Trio. After army life he became a piano tuner and served as president of the Institute of Chartered Piano Tuners of Manitoba. He was also a longtime member of North Centennial Seniors and its Grandpa and Grandma program. Warren and Rose travelled to many casinos in Canada and the U.S.A. A highlight of his travels was to Peru with Ted and Moray. Warren is survived by two sons, two daughters and their spouses, four grand-children and the love of his life Rose Kozminchuk. Special thanks to the staff of the 5th floor of Victoria Hospital; Jack Hanson, Pearl and son John, and Phyllis for making tea for Warren. Flowers gratefully declined, donations in Warren's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. At Warren's request, cremation has taken place, and no service will be held.
