DONNA MURIEL KLASSEN (PORTEOUS) June 1, 1941 August 29, 2010 It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Donna Klassen on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Gimli, MB at the age of 69 years. Donna leaves to mourn, her husband Jack; children, Brad and Lauri; grandsons, Logan and Jackson; brother Victor (Marion); sister Shirley; sister-in-law Rose (Fred) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Violet; brothers, Tom and Ray; sisters, Irene and Joan. Donna and Jack started golfing upon retirement and enjoyed time spent on the golf course with their many friends. Many winters were spent in Texas, in both San Antonio and McAllen where Donna enjoyed the warmer weather. She looked forward to weekly jaunts to Mexico for fun and laughter. The family wishes to thank all the caring nurses and staff at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, Palliative Care Unit. Special thanks to Donna's angels, Elaine Murray and Elke Epp for all their support and care given to Donna. Cremation has taken place and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 11 at 1:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, 146-6th St., Gimli, MB.
