Phyllis was born on June 10, 1916 in Nottingham, England and immigrated to Canada at the age of three. She spent a few of her early years living in Ontario before coming west settling in Gladstone, Manitoba in 1923. It was here that she spent most of her life before moving to Grand Forks, BC in 1990 and then relocating to Penticton, BC. The last two years of her life were spent in Oliver, BC. Mom loved to garden. She grew flowers both inside and out through the years. She also had a love for travel, and enjoyed spending time with friends and camping with her family. She was also a devoted member of the Jehovah's Witness Congregation for the past 30 years. Predeceased by her husband George Galloway, mother Lily Hembroff, stepfather D.B. Hembroff, as well as her daughter-in-law Doreen Galloway. In keeping with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will be in Gladstone Cemetery at a later date. Thanks go out to the staff at Sunnybank Centre for your care and kindness these last two years. The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hand of God.
