CLIFFORD WESLEY CARROTHERS Sadly on August 25, 2010, Clifford Wesley Carrothers passed away at Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 96. He leaves to mourn his wife of 56 years, Gladys Carrothers, sister Vera Hay, his son Leslie (Debra) Carrothers, daughter Calla (Bruce) Isaak, grandsons Daniel (Gabrielle) Isaak, Allistair Carrothers, Jordan (Claire) Isaak and great-grandson Matthew Isaak and many family and friends who loved him. Born in Austin Manitoba in 1914, Clifford was blessed to be part of a large family with 10 siblings. Cliff served his country in the Second World War. In 1940 he joined the armed forces and was assigned to the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division Signals. He was wounded after the D Day landing in France in 1944 and returned to Canada. Upon his return to Canada, he was an employee with Manitoba Pool Elevators working in south western Manitoba until his retirement. He will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and generous spirit. He will live on in our memories. We are all better for having had him in our lives. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the Carberry United Church, Carberry MB at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 7th, 2010. Our family would like to express our sincere thanks to the staff at Deer Lodge Centre for all of their care. Clifford Carrothers served his country with honour and his family with love.
