WINNIFRED FLORENCE ELRICK (nee WALL) In quietness and peace with soft lights and music, and her daughter by her side, Wynn passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010 in her 91st year. Wynn loved her family and is survived by her daughters Arlene (Charlie), Janice (Brian); son Tom; grandchildren Ryan (Shannon), Catherine, Christopher and Melissa; sister Margaret with whom she shared a special bond; her like a sister sister-in-law, Pearl, as well as several very special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Florence; brothers, Horace, Norman and Jack; sister Evelyn (in infancy) and her beloved husband, John Gunn Elrick. Mum was born on June 17, 1919, the youngest and last child of William and Florence Wall. She and her sister Margaret often regaled the family with wonderful tales of growing up in the family home in old St. James. If only 204 could talk. On Saturday, September 11, 2010 a private family Service will take place in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Avenue @ Sharp Boulevard. At this time, Wynn's family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Golden West Centennial Lodge for their superb care of our Mother and for their unfailing kindness. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mum's memory to War Amputations of Canada (Manitoba Branch), 113 Marianne Rd., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2R 1W4, Golden West Centennial Lodge, 811 School Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2Y 0S8 or any animal shelter of your choice.
