WILLIAM (BILL) SAMBORSKI After a long illness and a six week stay at Selkirk General Hospital, Bill Samborski, passed peacefully on Saturday, September 4, 2010, in his 87th year. Bill met each and every medical challenge with the same tenacity and diligence that he exercised in his life. It takes a remarkable man to balance both contentment and courage, peacefulness and persistence. Bill was serene in his perseverance. Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 49 years Gertrude (nee Buffie). Mourning his loss are Bill's children Tim and Connie; Doug and Patti; Mark; Joy and Peter Noble. Grieving the loss of their Gido are Corey and Tanya Samborski, Jennifer and Cory Flett, Brayden and Mitchell Samborski, as well as his great-grandchildren Brayden, Tyler, and Emmalee Samborski. Bill leaves behind his loving sisters Helen (and Joe) Todosey and Sophie Zaparaniuk, as well as numerous in-laws, countless nieces and nephews, and many cousins and friends. Bill was predeceased by his parents John Samborski and Pauline Balan; parents-in-law John and Mary Buffie; brothers John Orleski and Nick Owcher. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 10, 2010, in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Selkirk, MB, at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Terri-Ann Mattiasson officiating.
