Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE LILLIAN COOK (nee REDWOOD) Peacefully, after a brief illness; it is with deep regret that we announce the death of Alice Lillian Cook on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Oakview Place Personal Care Home at the age of 94 years. Remaining to forever cherish Alice's memory are her daughter Loretta (Gary); son Lloyd (Heather); daughter Marion (John); eight grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sister Reta (Ed). She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence 1999; parents Alice and Ernest Redwood; brother Bill; and sister-in-law Myrt. Mom was born in Winnipeg, August 15, 1916 but resided most of her life in Spearhill and Moosehorn, MB. She had many hobbies including crafts, baking, fishing, gardening, and her love of music. Mom took great pride in her yard on Shepherd Street. She learned to play the piano by ear and used her talent to help out at Christmas concerts, music festivals, and country dances. Mom was a member of the Spearhill United Church. She was a member of the O.E.S. Patricia Chapter # 8. On Saturday, September 11, 2010 Alice's Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Moosehorn Community Hall, Moosehorn, MB. The family wishes to express their thanks to Eunice Bullerwell and Margie Klodka and the other Home Care staff. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice's memory may be made to Ashern Hospital Guild, c/o Julie Bergner, Box 721, Ashern, MB R0C 0E0.
